I started my career in financial services in 2002 and trained to gain my qualifications in Mortgage advice and practice working for a large national firm. Although I enjoyed my time with the company and learned a lot, I felt restricted in the advice I could give as I only had access to a limited panel of lenders and wanted to be able to offer an independent ‘whole of market’ service. With this as my motivation, I formed Howard Mortgage & Finance in 2004. Firstly renting office space in a more established firm, I started to build up a client base that has grown through word of mouth and recommendations. In 2007 my wife, Lisa Howard, joined me in the business and we opened our own office in our home town of Paignton which has gone from strength to strength.

We pride ourselves in not using all the jargon and nonsense that surrounds this industry, but offer clear, straightforward and understandable advice.
