Wills - Why you need one - NOW!
Whether you are 18 or 80, married, single, divorced, living with a partner, have children or none at all, own a home or don’t...
You know you need a Will and here are just some of the many reasons why.
- A family can suffer acute financial hardship because there was no Will written and these delays can run into YEARS!
- Spouses may not receive everything and unmarried partners, friends and charities will definitely receive nothing
- The Courts may appoint a guardian for your children because you didn’t bother to write a Will and it will be the Courts choice not yours
- If you are not married to your partner then he or she will NOT inherit your estate
- Family arguments nearly always arise over who should get personal belongings and what type of funeral should be arranged. Is this fair on a grieving family?
- Complicated rules exist which means if a person dies without a Will a surviving husband or wife will not necessarily get everything
Making a Will is not painful or life threatening, it does not require you to list all your possessions and it is never too early, but all too often too late.
Howard Mortgage & Finance are unable to provide you with advice on wills, however we can introduce you to Nationwide Legals who are specialists in this field. Please complete the contact us form and they will get back to you to discuss your requirements.
The Financial Services Authority does not regulate Will Writing.
